Search for a free white-label chatbot platform and you get two kinds of results: trials with a countdown timer, and "free" plans where the white-label part is paywalled. I run a chatbot platform, so take my bias into account, but I will lay out what each option includes as plainly as I can.
Trial, free tier, and free white-label are three different things
A trial gives you the full product for 7 to 14 days, then bills you. Good for evaluation, useless for running anything real.
A free tier gives you a working product forever, within limits. You can build a real bot, put it on a real website, and pay only when you outgrow the limits.
Free white-label, meaning your branding on someone else's platform at no cost, does not exist in any sustainable form. White-label is the feature platforms charge for, because it is the feature agencies earn with. Anyone advertising it free is hiding the cost somewhere else.
What the agency platforms offer
Stammer.ai has plans from $49 a month, but white-label access starts with the agency plan at around $197. There is a trial, not a free tier.
ConvoCore runs $220 a month for white-label (a $20 base plan plus a $200 add-on). The base plan alone is cheap, but without the add-on your clients see ConvoCore's brand, which defeats the point.
ChatLab puts its agency package, including the client portal on your domain, in the Premium plan at $360 a month. There is no free white-label option.
Voiceflow and similar builder tools have free tiers for prototyping, but they are developer tools. Putting your brand in front of clients means paid plans there too.
What Octively's free tier includes, and what it does not
The free plan is permanent. No card, no timer. You get one bot, 200 conversations a month, lead capture with 15 leads a month visible, a small knowledge base, and the full dashboard.
What you do not get is white-label. The widget says "Powered by Octively" on the free plan and you cannot remove it. Removing branding starts on paid plans (from ₨2,500/$15 a month), and full white-label with your own branding on client portals is an Agency feature (₨20,000, about $79).
So if the question is "can I run my agency's branded chatbot business for free", the honest answer is no, here or anywhere. What the free tier is for: build your first bot, put it on a real site, show a client real conversations, and start paying when there is money on the other side. Every platform above asks for $197 to $360 before your first client says yes. Here the bill starts after.
The comparison
| Platform | Free option | White-label entry |
|---|---|---|
| Octively | Permanent free tier (1 bot, 200 convos/mo) | ₨2,500/$15 to remove branding, ~$79 full white-label |
| Stammer.ai | Trial | ~$197/mo |
| ConvoCore | Trial | ~$220/mo |
| ChatLab | None | ~$360/mo |
One client paying you ₨10,000 a month covers an Octively Starter plan four times over. That same client does not cover Stammer's white-label tier until you have several more like them. For freelancers adding chatbots to existing services, the order matters: client first, platform bill second.
